Description

City= Trinidad
Country= Trinidad and Tobago
Bio= http://www.espncricinfo.com/westindies/content/player/848623.html ; Mark Deyal has attracted a lot of attention for a likeness to a fellow Trinidadian off-spinner capable of spinning the ball both ways. Also a fine left-handed batsman, his career appears to be at an exciting juncture. It was Sunil Narine’s coach, Carl Crowe (Spin Bowling Assistant at both Kolkata Knight Riders and Trinbago Knight Riders), who first made the comparison. “He spins the ball both ways with his knuckles. So while many guys who bowl the carrom ball spin it one way with their knuckle and they’re conventional with their off-spinner, Mark spins the ball both ways with his knuckle, so it’s very, very difficult for him to be picked.” The 2018 GLT20 was something of a breakthrough tournament for Deyal. Having had some CPL exposure, he scored 160 runs for the Winnipeg Hawks at an average of 40, striking at 160.00 with a high score of 64 scored from just 39 balls. That innings was against the likes of Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Irfan, Wayne Parnell and Shahid Afridi – showing that Deyal is capable against the very best T20 bowlers. Mark has opened the batting for Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2019 CPL, scoring 20 from 6 balls in his one outing so far.
