Kavian was born in Germany on 8th August, 2000. 7 years later, in 2007, Kavian had a glimpse of the beautiful game he loves, at the age of 7 he started to play cricket and his love for the game increased day after day. He shifted to Canada where he featured for Canada in the U19 World Cup Qualifiers. After that, there was no looking back as Kavian kept marching forward.?
His exploits as a top order batsman and as a leg spinner earned him appreciation from South Africa’s Wayne Parnell who said that Kavian has immense talent and can play all around the world with his hardwork and dedication. Later, Sri Lankan pacer Dhammika Prasad asked the 18-year-old Naress to play first class cricket for SSC. He had a decent run in the U19 World Cup as he scored 102 runs with an average of 34. He also featured in the West Indies U19 regional tournament where he scored 192 runs at an average of 32, this included three wonderful half centuries.?
The Canadian all-rounder will be in action for SSC in 2019. He will travel all the way to Sri Lanka to work on his game. Later, he’ll be a part of the UAE T20x draft. He is keen to improve on every aspect of his game. “I just love the game, it teachers me about the different aspects in life, how to stand back and hit back after falling, showing your guts and mental power after being down, this is what defines you, work hard and nothing is impossible”, feels Kavian.?
Kavian works day in and day out with a glare in his eyes, he dreams of playing in different leagues around the world, he also wants to feature in international cricket, an IPL contract will be a dream come true moment for the youngster.
